Hello!

I’m Jolene, a designer and content strategist who helps people make sense of complex ideas. From strategy tools and simulations to digital platforms and learning journeys, I create experiences that are clear, structured, and easy to navigate.
My Approach in Action

Case Study
Redesigning the Onboarding Journey Across a Fragmented Platform
How we tackled user confusion in a multi-platform ecosystem by mapping complexity, reducing friction, and designing for the future.

Case Study
Adapting a Global Learning Experience for the Middle East
A physical and digital simulation tool originally designed for Western audiences, the Scale-Up Simulation was reimagined to resonate with startup founders in the MENA region. Through research, content localization, and UX-driven restructuring, we adapted the experience to be culturally relevant, intuitive, and grounded in real-world context.
Where I Add Value

Experience
Design
I design tools and environments —physical, digital, and hybrid— that help people think, learn, and collaborate. Whether it’s a Miro-based simulation or a printed canvas, I turn complexity into clarity through design.

Digital Platforms
& Learning Journeys
From websites to custom learning platforms, I build digital ecosystems that are intuitive, functional, and user-centered. My work helps users get where they need to go without getting lost along the way.

Brand
& Visual Systems
I create cohesive brand experiences across channels, blending storytelling with strategic design. From identity systems to content assets, I ensure every touchpoint feels consistent and meaningful.

A Bit About Me
I’m a Malaysian designer and content strategist who was (willingly) kidnapped by a viking about ten years ago and relocated to Norway — where I now navigate fjords, snow, and Figma with equal curiosity.
I work across UX, experience design, and content strategy — helping teams turn messy ideas into clear, meaningful user journeys. Whether it’s a digital platform or a physical simulation, I love designing systems that feel thoughtful, intuitive, and human.
When I’m not mapping out user flows, I’m usually:
- Hosting a chaotic but delicious dinner party
- Applying UX in the kitchen: building a personal recipe site that’s easy to navigate when your hands are covered in sauce
- Filming cooking videos (with a lot of enthusiasm and zero lighting setup)
- Working on my first book — a fictionalized family story inspired by my mom, about women, survival, and finding joy in unexpected places
